La cerimonia di assegnazione dei Grammy Awards 2022 si svolgerà il 31 gennaio a Los Angeles
Sono state annunciate le nomination per la 64esima edizione dei Grammy Awards, che saranno assegnati nel corso della cerimonia che si svolgerà il 31 gennaio 2022 a Los Angeles. Fra i candidati di questa edizione, che vede passare da 8 a 10 i nomi nelle categorie Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year e Best New Artist, ci sono Arooj Aftab, Arlo Parks, Silk Sonic, James Blake, Caribou, Low, Japanese Breakfast, Foo Fighters, Kanye West.
Anche quest’anno non è mancata la polemica, dovuta alle candidature di Marilyn Manson e Louis C.K. – rispettivamente nelle categorie Album of the Year e Best Rap Song per la collaborazione con Kanye West e Best Comedy Album. “Non limiteremo le persone che possono inviare il loro materiale”, ha dichiarato il CEO Harvey Mason, “Non guarderemo indietro alla storia delle persone, non esamineremo la loro fedina penale, non esamineremo altro che la legalità all’interno delle nostre regole, se questa registrazione per questo lavoro è ammissibile in base alla data e ad altri criteri. Se lo è, possono presentarsi per essere presi in considerazione”.
